Home State Race for Texas Businessman and Team Owner Tracy W. Krohn

The Krohn Racing team returns to Grand-Am racing this weekend at the GRAND-AM of the Americans presented by Gainsco and Total race, March 1-2, 2013. The two hour and forty-five minutes race will run on the impressive new Formula One circuit in Austin, Texas, which features 18 turns over 3.41 miles with 130 feet elevation changes.

Friday, March 1, 2013.....The Krohn Racing Team spent Thursday learning the new Circuit of the Americas track in Austin, Texas during the promoter's Test Day. They put that knowledge into use today during three practice sessions and qualifying.

The Krohn Racing Team showed up at the Circuit of the Americas with a Daytona Prototype car that had been sitting untouched in the workshop for over a year and collected an impressive Top six finish in the Grand-Am of the Americas race.

Krohn Racing is back for another exciting season of racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), starting with the inaugural 2013 race, the 6 Hours of Silverstone, April 12-14, 2013. Team owner/driver, Tracy W. Krohn, and longtime teammate, Nic Jönsson, will pair with Ferrari 458 test driver, Maurizio Mediani.

Saturday, April 13, 2013.....Krohn Racing returned to the Silverstone Circuit this week with their newly updated No. 57 Ferrari F438 ready for Round One of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship.

The No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 started the 6 Hours of Silverstone, Round One of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship, from the seventh position in class. Although the popular green-and-blue liveried car ran as high as third, they had to settle for a sixth place finish in the GTE-Am class.

Friday, May 3, 2013.....The Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 spent Friday participating in the two two-hour practice sessions at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps with most of the time devoted to drivers Nic Jönsson for morning set-up and Team owner/driver Tracy W. Krohn to get reacquainted with the long 4.352-mile (7.004 kilometer) Spa circuit. The World Endurance Championship (WEC) 6 Hours of Spa race begins at 2:30 p.m. local time on May 4th.

Krohn Racing arrived at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps seeking valuable points in their quest for the GTE-Am championship in the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Although they were able to finish the race and achieve collecting points, it was not as many as they had hoped with only a seventh-place finish.

Krohn Racing Withdraws From 24 Hours of Le Mans After Suffering Extensive Damage in Accident Krohn Racing persevered through many disappointments at the 90th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans race but in the end had to withdraw from competition at 1:00 a.m. early Sunday morning, June 23. Damage from an accident on lap 111 at the Porsche Curves section of the Circuit de la Sarthe at 11:55 p.m., nearly nine hours into the race, was too extensive for the No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari 458 to return under its own power to the pits for repairs.

The FIA World Endurance Championship teams have had a hiatus from racing for two months, since the June 22-23 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Saturday, August 31, 2013.....Krohn Racing was back on track at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace on Friday and Saturday for three rounds of practice and the qualifying session for the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, Round 4 of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The 6 Hours of Sao Paulo race brought a fifth place finish to the No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 of Tracy W. Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Maurizio Mediani. An early stop-and-go penalty of three minutes was assessed to the Krohn Team for an engine change after qualifying, which spoiled their attempt for a podium finish.

Krohn Racing Ready for Hometown Appearance

Krohn Racing has been waiting all season for this week – to race in the United States, in their home state of Texas! Round Five of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship is September 20-22 at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.

Round Five of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Series, the 6 Hours of Austin, at the Circuit of Americas in Austin, Texas, was a rather peculiar race for the No. 57 Krohn Racing Team of Tracy W. Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Maurizio Mediani.

Saturday, September 21, 2013.....The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) cars finally had a dry track and improved weather on Saturday for Practice #3 and the qualifying session for Sunday's 6 Hours of Austin race on September 22.

October 16, 2013....Round Six of the eight-race 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship series returns to the Oyama, Japan circuit, Fuji International Speedway, for the 6 Hours of Fuji race, October 20.

Saturday, October 19, 2013.....The No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 will start tomorrow's 6 Hours of Fuji from 7th place on the GTE-Am grid after a very close 25-minute qualifying session today.

November 5, 2013....The penultimate round of the eight-race 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship series is scheduled for the Shanghai Circuit in Shanghai, China, for the 6 Hours of Shanghai race on Saturday, November 9.

Friday, November 8, 2013.....The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) 6 Hours of Shanghai race activities started today at the Shanghai Circuit with a full day of activities. Two practice sessions for a total of four hours gave the competitors a good amount of track time.

Round Seven of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Series at the 6 Hours of Shanghai did not bring the result the Krohn Racing Team sought. Team owner/driver Tracy W. Krohn and co-drivers Nic Jönsson and Maurizio Mediani struggled with puzzling tire problems all weekend. The Krohn Team started seventh and finished seventh in the GTE-Am class in the penultimate round of the FIA WEC season.

Friday, November 29, 2013.....The 6 Hours of Bahrain race activities, the finale of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), featured two practice sessions on Thursday, November 28 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Competitors were back today on the 5.451 km/3.387 mile desert track in Sakhir, Bahrain for another practice round and afternoon qualifying for Saturday's six hour race.

The 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship finale race will take place this week at the Bahrain International Circuit in the Sakhir, Bahrain for the 6 Hours of Bahrain race. Scheduled for Saturday, November 30 with a race start at 3:00 p.m. local time, the endurance race will run into the night hours at the beautiful Middle East circuit. Krohn Racing owner/driver Tracy W. Krohn, along with Swede Nic Jönsson and Italian Maurizio Mediani will pilot the No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 GTE-Am. The Bahrain WEC race is now in its second year so both Krohn and Jönsson are returning to the 16-turn, 5.451 km/3.387 mile circuit, and it will be Mediani's first actual race there, having previously done laps on the circuit as a Ferrari school instructor. Practice and qualifying will take place on Thursday and Friday, November 28-29 with qualifying on Friday afternoon. Numerous support races will the weekend schedule.

Saturday, November 30, 2013.....Krohn Racing ended the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) suffering a DNF (did not finish) in the season finale at the 6 Hours of Bahrain race today at Bahrain International Circuit.

Krohn Racing, which recently moved to owner/driver Tracy W. Krohn's hometown of Houston, Texas, announced they have submitted an entry for the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, Round One of the new IMSA Tudor United Sportscar Championship.
